these aren't boybands.. these are bands which paid their dues,
coming together because they are friends, making music, playing in
clubs, honing their craft, winning over a fanbase from the ground
up.. with no record company backing.. until they make it...
boybands work the other way... the record company bigwigs come
together, hire a bunch of losers to sing and dance, sign them up,
steal some songs for them to sing, hire a bunch of tech-eggheads to
make their songs sound passable, then they hype, (in the words of
Ford Fairlaine) get the little girls all screaming and wet, then
throw them into the public with a lot of publicity...
